A Myriad of Lasting, Loving Colors

A Myriad of Lasting, Loving Colors

I longingly want to hug you, to hold you, to be held by you
Closely and carefully, tightly and tenderly, like dew
That clings to the stems and petals of Fall's final flowers.
Like the oak's leaves that refuse to fall in rain showers.

I longingly want to swim in the dark, crystal pools
Of your eyes that sparkle like precious hidden jewels
To swim down into your silent soul's burning depths
To feel the Spirit's loving flame dry up my tears wept.

I longingly want to hear your harmonic voice
Softly, slowly, and sweetly speak with words that rejoice
And ring out throughout my sorrow strewn brain.
Like a song, you serenade my mind and soothe my pain.

I longingly want to bask in the Son shine in your presence
To share some smiling seconds of the simple living essence
Of God's pure joy with a myriad of lasting, loving colors
To light up my life until i can open Heaven's eternal door!
