At Four and Seven

Sweet as a sugar cookie, Regan, at four
Gently unlocks my heart's secret door
And jumps in to fill it with joy galore
Squeezing out any sadness forevermore

She gaily dances and twirls and sings
Like a little sparrow announcing Spring
Warming my soul with her sunny disposition
Helping me to see through her colorful vision

Little Miss Hailey's happiness at seven
Lifts my soul high up towards Heaven
Her beautiful smile spreads across my face
As she shares her zest for living in God's Grace

Shining like a princess in a great king's court
She plays golf and soccer and all sorts of sports
She is one smart cookie in St. Anne's School
And when it comes to reading, Hailey rules
