For A Friend's 53rd Birthday

On looking forward to the fourth day of November
I faithfully desire to take time to fondly remember
The birthday of a dedicated priest and dear friend
And i wish him God 's Love for always, without end.
I pray for passing angels to comfort him to be at peace
In the dank, cold darkness when doubts fail to cease.
I pray that he will see God's magnificent Beauty in Creation
Even in the midst of man's most horrendous abomination.
I pray to the Holy Spirit to nourish him so that he is content
In knowing his life of serving as a shepherd is one well spent.
I hope he knows that his contribution to my being remains
As a flame buring golden in a heart opened and unchained
May our fairest Mother Mary wrap her cloak, so warm and blue
Around him snugly so that he may feel her Love, born and true

Happy fifty-third Birthday and feast day of your patron
May your soul be sweetly illuminated by the Risen Son!
