Gettin’ a Granddaddy Lobster

Gettin’ a Granddaddy Lobster

A smidgen out away from where the sea grasses swoon and sway
In the pitted limestone rock floor of the beautiful Florida Bay
Lives a large, grand fatherly, spiny lobster hidden in a cavernous hole
Just praying not to be tickled out by someone’s long, slender pole!
His sneaky antennae stick out like two pieces of black, dead grass
To the unsuspecting eyes who see no hint of the good eatin’ hind mass
That lies concealed in the shadows beneath a rocky crevice with a crack.
But to the experienced ones who know what they’re lookin’ at, their lips smack
And a rush of excitement blows through their snorkel tube and bubbles out
As they lure that Lobster into their net and swiftly surface to scream and shout!
