Even though my friend is not very near
In my mind, it is his voice that i hear
His words seem kind, sincere and especially chosen
For me to remember when my heart feels frozen
Or when the evil one wields my worst fear against me
And i am tempted to act on his proposal to flee.

Even though i never see this friend in person
I sense his fullness in the Three Persons in One
God and i am awed by the power that lies in his hands.
He can take bread and wine from all the lands
Bless it and break it and change it into Jesus' Flesh
and Blood to give It to others so they may not perish!
