Slashing the Gloom

Slashing the Gloom

A summer thunderstorm full of warm rain slashed the dark gloom
That obscured my vision as it overhung in my small living room.
Now, in the wind blown reality of my world’s untouched wildness
I can see a comforting vision softly glistening with gentle mildness.
I feel fished out of a storm sewer, saved by the strong, caring Hands
Of the loving Architect Who lays out such long lasting, perfect plans.

Love splashes small drops of joy
At just exactly the right time
To delightfully refresh us
On our rough rocky, rapid climb
So we will not stumble, nor slip
And fall down into dark despair
But remember always and forever
There are Three Who truly care
