So Very Extremely Thankful

Dear Father, sweet Jesus, and Great Spirit in the most blessed, Holy Trinity
Love Personified, constant, yet multiplied, undivided, and united to infinity
The blessings that I am so very extremely thankful for at this time of year
Are the privileges and things that are so ordinarily near and preciously dear
Like automatically breathing in fresh air on my own
And raising my arms in grateful praise along with the angels at Your Throne
Like being able to walk on crisp, brown, crinkled leaves
And to watch the rain fall down steadily while standing dry under the eaves

I am thankful for the warm rays of the sun that shine down on me in the day
And the shimmery, sparkling stars that light up my night in more than one way
I am so very extremely thankful for the ability to love with all my small might
And for the constant support of loved ones who are in and out of my limited sight
I am thankful for Your gift of Grace, filled with amazing Love that keeps giving
And i give grateful praise for all the challenges that cause me to cherish living
It fills my heart with joyful gratefulness to know that You mercifully forgive me
When i am sorry for stumbling and falling into sin after sin, so repeatedly
